Do you expect them to be with their pets at all times or do you allow them to leave the pet in their room?
I wouldn’t have pets in my house, but if I did, of course the guest would need to keep the animal with them at all times. We are hosts not pet sitters.

clears throat Well most of you aren’t. I’ve had some people leave their pet in the room, some leave it with me if it likes other dogs. Some of the have crates. The main thing is that most of my people with pets are only here one night and they are usually with their pet. Pet fees and damage deposits are for things go wrong.

I host an entire apartment. My rules with pets are on a leash in my yard, and crated when guests leave the pets behind.
